Round Two - Flair / Specialty Drink Round 600 Points Each contestant will be responsible for preparing the same drinks and open one Beer and produce a Specialty Drink (Finals Only) within a five minute (Four min for Qualifying) time limit. Within this time, the contestants will be judged on accuracy, Working Flair, Difficulty, Smoothness, Variety of Moves, Originality, Crowd Response, Sponsorship Promotion and Showmanship. The primary focus of the judging , however , will be on Flair and Showmanship , with a maximum of six hundred (600) points awarded. -The Drinks for the Flair / Specialty Drink round do not have to be placed on Bevnapsbut are optional. - Your Music must be on CD format. -The Working Flair drink must be finished before attempting to make any of the exhibition drinks. -The Specialty Drink is only for the Finals and not in the Qualifying Round. -The Specialty Drink must be made Last and consist of at least two Sponsors! -The last Minute of you're routine, There are NO deductions for Spills. Each Drink Completed Each Drink Completed - The bartender will receive 20pts for each drink completed. Any variations to drink standards must be discussed and approved by the judges prior to the Flair round. A maxium of 100pts will be awarded for this category. Working Flair Working Flair -The Bartender will receive points for there Working Flair ability. This score will be based on the bartenders overall Working Flair on the first two drinks in the round. You will be judged on all areas of Working Flair. Working Flair is the things you can do while you work, that entertain and more importantly Don't slow down service.To quote one of the masters Ken Hall "You should not have an entire series of moves without working towards the drink building process". Overall Working Flair Score will be determined with one summed up score determined by: Technical Working Flair ,Creative Working Flair ,Showmanship and Overall Performance. Difficulty Difficulty - The bartender will receive points for making drinks with some style of Flair. The more degree of difficulty the more points will be awarded. If the Bartender does not hit the move they will not get points for attempting it. Smoothness and Variety of Moves Smoothness - The bartender will receive points for showing total control of their tricks. Their angles being tight rather than sloppy. Regardless of the difficulty level , do you "Nail" the moves or do you fumble through it? Variety of Moves -The bartender should be able to do some sort of Flair with everything behind the bar. Demonstrate mastery of your equipment by using as many different objects as possible. A little bit of everything will get you a high score! Be creative! |

Originality and Crowd response Originality -The bartender will receive points for an original move that is new or hasn't really been seen yet. Let your own style shine through. Crowd Response - A bartender who can bring in a crowd is a more valuable employee. We are looking for crowd interaction ie: (cheering , yelling , hooting , laughing , chanting , singing , clapping , flashing, etc.) HINT: Stack the deck in your favor by inviting friends and family to cheer you on! |

Specialty Drink and Sponsorship Promotion Specialty Drink - Does the drink taste good or is it repulsive and make you want to puke? Is the Name creative or just run of the mill. Where there any props, costumes, music, any creative thought put into the drink or did they just make a drink with no creativity? Sponsorship Promotion - The Bartender will receive points for honoring our Sponsors. Without our Sponsors there would be no prize money! They will get an overall score on how many times they included the sponsors in there routine and score higher if they incorporate the honoring into there routine as part of there show rather then just kissing a sponsored bottle. |
