Do you have what it takes to be the second ever "Flair Bartenders Shakedown Working Flair Champion"? We welcome back the Flair Bartenders Shakedown, the first Flair bartending competition based entirely around Working Flair with familiar sponsors this year... Blue Martini, SKYY Vodka, Finest Call, Midori, X-Rated, Bar Products, Spill-Stop, Flairco, Rock&Record, the FBA, Flairbar.com and BarWars LLC. For the second qualifier of the second running we saw some of Florida's finest battling it out behind the Flairco Portable Bar. Again at Blue Martini, West Palm Beach, Florida in front of a standing room only crowd all cheering for their favorite Flair bartender to make the finals. In the end, the scores were tallied and the final results were...

1st Place

Mauro Garrido finished in first place this month with a stellar show amidst some distractions.

Mauro was cool, calm and confident when he walked out on stage. He started off with a smooth and flavorful SKYY bottle and tin routine followed by a Finest Call and tequila 2 bottle working Flair sequence that showed just how Flair friendly the Finest Call bottles really are.

His 1 bottle and tin exhibition sequence behind the Flairco bar was classic Mauro style coupled with a solid 4 bottle routine guaranteed him first place honors. Well done sir! Click on Mauro's picture to the right to see a highlight of his round.

2nd Place

Marco Gamboa the "little Peruvian stick of dynamite" finished in second place this month and also qualifies to come back on the finals.

Marco started off his show with a SKYY bottle and tin working Flair sequence incorporated with shadow passes and blind grabs that was confident and uplifting. His X-Rated and tequila sequence was short and sweet followed by a nice Finest Call elbow stall. Finishing with an amazing 3 bottle sequence riddled with shadow passes and big smiles :-) helped him secure second place. Congrats brother!

Also rounding out third place again this month was Hector Acevedo. Who was only 2 points behind second place. I have a good feeling Hector will make his way into the finals and demonstrate why he deserves to be there.

This months honorable mention goes to Raimel Perez who made the finals last year and is hoping to do so again this year. Good Luck and see you down at Bartenders Bash!
