Round Three - Flair / Specialty Drink Round 400 Points

Each contestant will be responsible for opening and promoting two beers and preparing the same two drinks and produce a Specialty Drink within a six minute time limit. Within this time, the contestants will be judged on accuracy and showmanship. The primary focus of the judging , however , will be on Flair and Showmanship, with a maximum of four hundred (400) points awarded.

-The first thirty seconds (30 secs) of your routine is dedicated to promoting the beer sponsor. You will open and prmote a Budweiser and Bud Light bottled beer. You will only be allowed to perform with items you will be using or working with for your beers during this time. YOU CAN NOT ice down the rest of your glasses for your other drinks during this time. The first thirty seconds is strictly for opening and promoting the beer sponsor.

-Once the thirty seconds are up the MC will annouce its "Working Flair Time!" and you may start with your working Flair drink. At this time you may "ice down" all of your other glasses for your Working, Exhibition and Specialty drinks.

-The Working Flair drink must be finished before attempting your Exhibition drink and then your Specialty drink.

-The Drinks for the Flair / Specialty Drink round do not have to be placed on Bevnaps but are optional.

-The Working Flair drink must be finished before attempting to make any of the exhibition drinks.

-The 10 Cane Rum Specialty Drink must be made Last and consist of at least 10 Cane Rum mixed with one other sponsor and whatever you like!

-The last Minute of you're routine, There are NO deductions for Spills. Drops, or Breaks!

Each Drink Completed

Each Drink Completed- (25 points) The bartender will receive 25pts for each drink completed. Any variations to drink standards must be discussed and approved by the judges prior to the Flair round.

Beer Promotion

Beer Promotion - (10 point Bonus) The Bartender will receive points for there Beer Promotion ability during the first thirty (30) seconds of there routine. This score will be based on the bartenders overall showcase of the beer and the beer sponsor. Have fun with this category and be creative.

Working Flair

Working Flair- (50 points) The Bartender will receive points for there Working Flair ability. This score will be based on the bartenders overall working flair on the first drink in the round. You will be judged on all areas of working flair. Working flair is the things you can do while you work, that entertain and more importantly Don't slow down service. To quote one of the masters Ken Hall "You should not have an entire series of moves without working towards the drink building process". Overall Working Flair Score will be determined with one summed up score determined by: Technical Working Flair ,Creative Working Flair ,Showmanship and Overall Performance.

Overall Flair

Overall Flair- (100 points) The bartender will receive points for making drinks with some style of Flair. The more degree of difficulty the more points will be awarded.

Smoothness and Variety of Moves

Smoothness- (25 points) The bartender will receive points for showing total control of their tricks. Their angles being tight rather than sloppy. Regardless of the difficulty level , do you "Nail" the moves or do you fumble through it?
Variety of Moves- (25 points) The bartender should be able to do some sort of Flair with everything behind the bar. Demonstrate mastery of your equipment by using as many different objects as possible. A little bit of everything will get you a high score! Be creative!

Taste- (10 points) Does the drink taste good or is it repulsive and make you want to puke?
Name- (10 Points) Is the Name creative or just run of the mill.....
Sponsorship Promotion- (30 Points) How was the overall Show? Was there any customs or props involved? Where the sponsors clearly reconized?

Originality and Crowd Response

Originality- (30 Points) The bartender will receive points for an original move that is new or hasn't really been seen yet. Let your own style shine through.
Crowd Response- (20 points) A bartender who can bring in a crowd is a more valuable employee. We are looking for crowd interaction ie: (cheering, yelling, hooting, laughing, chanting, singing, clapping, flashing, etc.)

HINT: Stack the deck in your favor by inviting friends and family to cheer you on!
